Millennium Park is one of the country’s largest urban parks. Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan with its 1,400 acres of terrain and six miles of frontage on the Grand River, the park is indeed rich in natural resources, habitats, and large areas for wildlife. Facilities in the park include a six-acre beach and splash pad, nearly 18 miles of trails, boat rental facilities, and many more recreational activities to enjoy.
Fees and Season Passes
There is no admission fee for most of the park’s 1,400 acres. You just have to come and explore the park. However, entry for beach and splash pad are charged.

Grant Pavilion
If ever around Michigan and family want a day in the park consider heading to Millenium Park for its meadows area. Grant Pavilion features a large open-air pavilion with a picturesque lake view and an under roof seating capacity of 350+ people at tables. The Pavilion is accepting rentals for private or public functions.

There are various activities to be done at Millennium Park such as playgrounds, picnics, nature observation, fishing, sand volleyball, basketball, cross country skiing, and fat bike trails.
The size of Michigan’s Millennium Park and its great trails give plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in the feeling of wilderness even though you are just on the edge of the town. Visitors also find several clusters of picnic tables through the main recreation area that are all available without reservations. The Park also provides sprawling space for kids to play along the beach area.
Trails
Millennium Park offers an extensive of trails with about 18 miles in distance all within the boundaries of the park’s 1,400 acres. It connects with Kent Trails, and with a City of Grand Rapids trail along Wealthy Street SW as well as accessible entry to Millennium Park from southwest communities. Most trails are open to foot, bikes, skateboards, and the likes.
